So our refrigerator wasn’t cooling, but the bottom freezer was fine. The deli drawer in the fridge was frozen. Called Nickel appliance to check it out. The guy was in the house for less than 5 minutes and said that the problem was a sealed system failure and that I needed to buy a new fridge. I questioned it because the freezer was super cold as well as the deli drawer in the fridge. Replacing a $2500 fridge was not in my list for the day. So the guy left without doing anything but telling me to buy a new fridge. No pleasantries or goodby or anything- just walked out the door. Fine. Whatever. Didn’t charge me anything to come out- so I thought about it for a minute and called another repair service. The new guy was at my house in 10 minutes after diagnosing the problem over the phone. $235 fan replacement and my fridge works good as new. The guy Nickel appliance sent out was unethical, unprofessional, and a complete waste of my time. I would never use Nickel appliance again and I absolutely would not recommend this service.

The service technician, Nick, did a quick replacement of a defective sensor. However, the sensor was in short supply and there was a delay in getting it. This resulted in many spoiled items in our refrigerator even though we had multiple coolers and a constant ice supply. Although it is unreasonable to expect all parts to be available quickly, Nicks Appliance repair did help expedite the needed sensor and made the repair as fast as they could.

I was having an issue with my Samsung refrigerator not cooling correctly, Nick came out and diagnosed my fridge as having a bad defrost sensor. He came back out the very next day and had my fridge up and running. I would highly recommend Nickel Appliance as they had very fair pricing and there service was excellent, all of the technicians are extremely knowledgeable and very polite. I will definitely be using this company again if I ever have an appliance that goes out.

This is a little belated but maybe a month and a half ago my fridge quit, I had a fairly good idea what was happening but I called Nickels App Repair just as a confirmation that the fridge was cooked!! He was very accommodating with scheduling the tech that came out knew rather quickly the compressor was shot (I knew it) but he is the real expert and explained a lot about the newer refrigerators. I’m always willing to in to learn so I was glad that he explained without me asking. The Owner was phenomenal with all aspects of the service call and 10/10 from them. I’ve worked in the same people in the exact business and I wish those guys would have been more like the gents at Nickel’s. Will be calling back if ever necessary. -Crap LG fridge owner!!
