Compressor failed on refrigerator, called Mid America and they installed a new compressor 24 days later. Installer was great and it does work. However, if you buy the compressor from Sears it is $357 and has a 10-year warranty. From Mid America it is $458 and has a 90-day warranty. Tells me they buy creep parts, charge lots and hope they fail in 92 days so they can sell you another one.

My refrigerator had an issue. A technician diagnosed the problem, purchased parts, and installed them. When the refrigerator still did not work, I reached out to management. They quickly follow up with me and dealt with a fraught situation in a fair and level-headed way. I appreciated their partnership in this process.

So my mom has used this company for years. I used them 3 years ago when I was rooming with a buddy, freezer started getting ice at the bottom. We would get it all out, and it would be there again in a month. They came over and fixed it in a jif. Just bought a house and they came out and fixed my stove/oven that wouldn’t light. They do great work and are honest about what the problem is and if it’s worth to fix. 11/10 would recommend.

Ice maker in the fridge stopped working. Vic ordered a new ice maker and installed it a couple days later (had to wait for it to come in). No issues since. Thanks to Vic and American Appliance Service!!!

Misdiagnosed a repair in a refrigerator approximately 2 years old. My father was polite and calm but called to notify them of the misdiagnosis and inquire of a partial refund. The representative was ridiculously rude, disrespectful, used profanity and then hung up the phone. It could have been handled much differently, their misdiagnosis cost my father time and unnecessary money. A simple apology would have been better than the extreme disrespect.

They were fantastic I was very very happy they were able to get there very quickly everyone else was about a week out and they were there the same day. The technician was right knowledgeable. He explained everything to me in detail and it was fantastic. I could not be happier and I'm very happy they got here to fix my refrigerator and my freezer before I lost everything in there and there were $400 they saved me in food cost so thank you very much Great job great service. I highly recommend and if I have another issue with another appliance I will call them first.

They took the contract to fix my refrigerator on the day I called my insurance company about it. I'd always had contractors at least call- if not come- on the day of the request. Later in the day, I checked to make sure my request had indeed been received (it had). The next day, it appeared that my request had disappeared, so I made another request- which would have resulted in an additional charge, had a relative not also become involved. What followed were several days of calling both the insurance company and this contractor, with an insurance representative assuring me that the contractor WOULD call that day to schedule an appointment for the next day. Both days came and went. In their phone message, this company says that they will call you back by the next day, but that was not my experience at all. I left a polite and detailed message on the second day; on the third day, I called again but was unable to leave a message. When a contractor takes on a job for the insurance company, the job is "claimed"- so why accept a job if you don't even have the time to return clients' phone calls? I was almost stuck being charged by my insurance for an additional request, because I had no idea, at that time, that any human beings had received my request. As of now, another contractor has taken the job. I placed my initial request over a week ago.
