I called Restart Appliance Repair and spoke to Mariia this morning, Tuesday, January 28. Mariia answered the phone immediately. I explained what was going on with my refrigerator. Mariia was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I was even able to get a technician to come out today. Bek, the technician, arrived a little bit early, which I actually appreciated. I loved that he had booties all already to be put on his feet without me asking. He got right to work and carefully examined my refrigerator. After looking everything over Bek told me the dreaded news: I had a bad compressor. He explained what the function of the compressor is and how to tell if it's working well. I was very impressed with this company, from start to finish. Mariia was absolutely awesome! She made a great first impression, which is something that helps me choose a company. Bek was just as awesome! He was timely in his arrival and thorough in his diagnosis. I would highly recommend using this company for any appliance repair. Zergan was able to come look at my refrigerator the same day. Max was very polite and was able to diagnose the problem right away. Came back the following day with the new part and was able to fix my refrigerator quickly. The price was very reasonable, I would highly recommend.

Outstanding service! I called Zergan to have them stop out and take a look at our fridge as the freezer was having trouble keeping things fully frozen. I called on a Friday , and almost could not believe that someone was going to come out the next day and review my issue. Max to the rescue! Let me start by stating I’ve never posted about a service before, and really wanted to post this for awhile about my appliance repair experience, and have finally got around to doing so. In July 2022, we had an issue with our Samsung refrigerator making strange noises and not cooling properly, and like many of you have probably experienced, with appliance these days, found out that my warranty and extended warranty ran out 2 months earlier. After researching repair services online, came across many positive reviews for Hauck Appliance Repair service. I contacted them regarding my issues, and they contacted me back right away. They scheduled our repair within a few days in August 2022, and walked me through some processes I needed to do prior to the repair date. They called to confirm the appointment and provided me with a window of time when the service tech would arrive. Sean was the service tech who came to our home, and was not only timely but also extremely courteous and professional. I could tell right away he was very knowledgeable about appliance repairs and the appliance repair business. While we initially reviewed the fridge issues over the phone during the original call, he was fairly confident with what the problem should be, and confirmed his initial suspicions within minutes of physically looking at the problem, and had all of the parts necessary to take care of it right away. The repair took about an hour, and he was very neat and methodical throughout the repair process. As I initially stated, I never posted regarding a service before, but felt strongly enough to share my experience, as it may help others who have appliance issues and are unsure who to contact. I would highly recommend Hauck Appliance Repair.

Sean arrived on time, he was clean and super polite. He identified the problem quickly and although the refrigerator issue wasn't able to be repaired, he got us to a place where we can operate without the water line. Highly recommended.

I saw the recommendation for Hauck on the Next Door app. Was skeptical since I was burned several times with referred people or companies. I can say every step was positive from scheduling quickly to a fair price AND actually not recommending a replacement part but providing suggestions to get my refrigerator to the correct temperature. Worked out well.

Doesn’t return phone calls. I called the first time and explained my situation. He had me text him exactly what the prior refrigerator service repairman replaced and said he would call me back after he got done his next job. Never heard from him. So I called him again a couple days later and left a nice message just explaining that if he didn’t want to do the work or couldn’t, just to please let me know so I could look elsewhere. He didn’t even have the decency to do that! Very disrespectful and TERRIBLE customer service. Don’t waste your time.

We unfortunately had a very negative experience with this company. Our refrigerator/freezer was not staying cold/frozen. The repair man came our same day and reported that we were low on freon but assured us he did not find a leak. We were then charged $47 an ounce for freon (for reference HVAC companies charge that price per pound). He charged us for 6oz of freon and $260 for labor (was not at our house longer than 30 minutes). 24 hours later and our refrigerator still was not staying cold. After looking at our appliance manual we realized that our fridge only takes 4.5 oz of Freon and that it is a closed system so it would be impossible to “just be low” like we were told. The repair man came back out and told us this time the Freon was gone again. We paid $717 the day before for the problem to not even be fixed and ended up having to buy a new refrigerator. When we voiced how upset we were he said he would check with his boss to see if we could be reimbursed, but we of course never heard back even after calling again. We unfortunately feel like we were completely taken advantage of by the repair man with him knowing we were in a time sensitive situation.

Quite possibly the biggest rip off. Didn’t fix my refrigerator. Didn’t offer any remedies other than calling a plumber. Then proceeded to charge me $140. Would not recommend.

Well, this isn’t your usual review because Steel City didn’t actually repair anything for me. I called because I needed our 7 year old LG refrigerator fixed. Because it was out of warranty for labor (compressor was still in), I knew it wasn’t going to be cheap to get it repaired. When I spoke to Ted, he suggested that I call LG to request that everything be done for free. I thought it was a crazy idea with zero chance of success but I called LG anyway and it actually worked!! Within two days the refrigerator was fixed! I really appreciated the suggestion, particularly since there was nothing in it for Steel City. Saved me a bunch of money!

We had our refrigerator serviced for 3 items less than 2 months ago. Now? It's all broken again. The tech was unresponsive, and took money upfront, then didn't even come do the repairs for 3 weeks.

Our fridge recently busted and it was due to the defroster system failing.
