Murf truly knows what he's doing. Our refrigerator went out and he came by, listed out what could be wrong and did some preliminary diagnosis. After a bit more investigating, we found out the issue and he came by and fixed it. Our fridge runs beautfiully now. Truly 1 fix will do it. Great dude honestly.

Murf was prompt in his communications (we reached out Saturday evening and he replied within the hour) and went out of his way to personally come out to our house on a Sunday afternoon. He ran the tests on our fridge and determined it wasn’t worth the cost of pursuing part replacement, but told us to wait a few hours to be 100% sure. He followed up later in the day and when we confirmed he was correct, he followed up with suggestions for new refrigerators and gave us some tips. He also looked at the other appliances in house and gave his opinions on brands, types and what he would recommend for us in the future. Murf is trustworthy and great to work with and we would recommend him to any friend!

I have to give a HUGE appreciation for Murf. This is my first review ever, to express my gratitude. My refrigerator had been broken for about 2 weeks, the first few people no showed or had to wait about a week… I called Murf on a SUNDAY & he had my refrigerator up & running again the same day. My refrigerator stopped working. It was not defrosting or cooling. It’s an older refrigerator and I wasn’t sure whether it was fixable or not. I called Affordable Appliance and Rion came out the next day. After he diagnosed the problem, I was afraid the refrigerator was history. Rion was able to find the replacement parts and now my refrigerator is just like new. Saved me a lot of money not having to buy a new refrigerator. I would highly recommend Affordable Appliance. if you have an appliance that needs to be repaired Rion is your man.

Rion is as able to come in a timely manner that fit our busy schedules, and went through our refrigerator thoroughly to make sure everything was working properly before he left. Also, he explained everything that was going wrong with the refrigerator to us as he went, which I appreciated. I will definitely keep him in mind for any other appliances in the whole house.!

Ryan was friendly, very knowledgeable and honest. Thought he might tell me that I needed a new refrigerator and it wasn't worth fixing. Just the opposite! He said the older refrigerators are built better and I should hang on to it as long as I could. He worked his magic for just the cost of initial call! I will use Affordable Appliance Repair if needed.

Their integrity, honesty, and professionalism is superior. Told me to defrost my refrigerator for 3 days if the fan doesn't work after that call him. The Fan worked great. He did not charge us, but we made sure we gave him some money later. I highly recommend him five stars definitely

Rion is an outstanding repair man !!! He went to work on our built in refrigerator and repaired it, when everyone else could not do it. Rion is prompt, experienced and honest. We recommend him highly. Rion followed up with us after he completed the job just to make sure the refrigerator continued running. He gives excellent service !!!

We are utterly impressed with Ian’s professionalism, friendliness and overall knowledge on our “hi-tech” Thermador refrigerator/freezer. Refrigerator quick working both freezer and regular. Called on Friday and they couldn’t come till Wednesday. Surely there is room for emergencies.

Fantastic service as usual. They scheduled me promptly for refrigerator repair--and although my fridge couldn't be saved (not surprising, it's 24 years old!) the technician gave me tons of helpful advice as to what to look for (or stay away from) in a new fridge. His advice alone probably saved me more than the service call fee in choosing a new fridge! Highly recommend this company.

I have used Home Appliance Service several times over the years before COVID and now after. I had an iceberg built up in my freezer. It prevented my ability to close the door fully and once closed it was frozen shut. H.A.S. sent someone to my house in a timely manner. The first attempt seemed like it fixed the problem.They got rid of the frozen iceberg and the freezer was working and could open and close again. But, after they left the fridge began acting up and wasn’t cooling my food. They sent someone else out to address the issue, again in a timely manner. This time their fix lasted and the fridge and freezer have been working perfectly since. The technician asked when the last time was I changed the water filter. I am in a wheelchair and told him I have never changed it because I can't reach it. I thought when he left my service was concluded. They contacted me shortly after to schedule another service. I said “I was not aware I had another service.” The woman on the phone said it was a water filter. I said “oh yeah, that would be great! It has never been changed. I’ve had it for about 5 years now.” We scheduled that appointment. The technician noticed my water dispenser had build up on it. He cleared that off and told me the water should run smoother now and not splash me. I was so thankful for all he had done. I was really thankful when I got water for the first time and my face didn’t get splashed. That is the height of my head when I am dispensing water. It dispenses as smooth as can be now. They did all those repairs and came out all those times and only charged me for the original service call, and the price of the water filter I believe. I was blown away. I originally thought my fridge was a goner and it would cost so much it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge. I don't recall the exact price right now, but it was in the two hundreds for doing all that work and coming out all those times. That was more than worth it to me and felt very reasonable. I was so shocked and happy. H.A.S. is the first business I have experienced since COVID that continues to do business the same way they did before it. Their prices are reasonable and their service is impeccable. I get so sick of all these businesses I encounter that use COVID as an excuse for high prices and poor service. Quite frankly I was expecting that from H.A.S. I am so happy I was wrong and pleasantly surprised at their “business as usual” approach; along with their integrity to go above and beyond to make my life easier when I didn't even ask for it. They could have chosen to leave a never changed water filter where it was in hopes it would cause problems for the fridge and give them more business later on. But, that is not their way. They have integrity and do what's needed to fix the appliance so their services are not needed sooner than necessary. I was just so impressed by them I had to write a review. I have not written many, so that is saying something. But, they totally earned it and I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Thank you H.A.S. for your outstanding service, thoroughness and integrity. You have given me hope in a post COVID world that maybe some things can still be the way they were before COVID. We had a 20+ year old garage fridge repaired. Price was fair and service was fast. Repairman was friendly and down to earth and showed up on time. He made sure the rest of the fridge was working well before recommending the repair too.

had an unexpected fridge breakdown called our warranty co Fergusen through the builder we bought the appliance from and they were terrible Fergusen stated they will contact a repair co and never heard back called several times and was told order was sent and we would have to wait till 3 days for someone to come out. meanwhile we have a fridge and freezer full of food we cant afford to lose. was in a panic when a sweet lady from HAS called to let me know they had a cancellation and where sending out a tech in 20min!! thank goodness they were so nice the technician was great fixed everything and saved the day. wonderful customer service, very much appreciated. this will be our go to co for repairs. Thanks HAS!!!

Fantastic service timely response. We had some problems with the refrigerator and they came by diagnose the problem ordered the parts and then came back and fixed it. Took care of everything. This was a warranty repair. Technicians are top-notch and professional. Don't hesitate to call. They used phone calls and texting to keep me apprised of every stage of the process.

Be forewarned - lake appliance repair is incompetent and cannot perform the most basic of diagnostics or repair. My experience: I bought a new GE fridge from American Freight for my condo in McCall. I plugged it in and it didn’t cool down. I called GE and they called Lake appliance repair. They said they only go to McCall every three weeks. So in three weeks a kid shows up with a backpack. After ten minutes he says “good news, the compressor relay switch is not plugged in and I reseated it. It will work fine now, give it 24 hrs.” Within an hour I knew it wasn’t working so I called them to catch the kid before leaving town. Of course he didn’t answer when the switchboard tried to reach him. They gave me a new appointment for another three weeks later. They also ordered a new compressor to be shipped to me. So I began calling repair shops to fix it sooner. Coulter repair in McCall came out promptly and discovered the compressor worked fine but there was no R600 refrigerant in the unit. He said since it was new, he recommended they replace it under warranty. Three weeks later, Lake Appliance Repair makes it out again. Same kid, same backpack, same cursory review. He says he agreed there was no refrigerant and put some in. “I waited ten minutes and the pressure is holding with no leaks.” He told me. Again he assured me it’s working and claimed “they just forgot to put refrigerant in at the factory, sometimes that happens.” He took the compressor replacement with him. Three weeks later, the fridge stops cooling. Apparently the R600 all leaked out. At this point, I can’t go any longer without a fridge. I called up Home Depot and had a new one delivered. They moved the now non-working fridge to my garage. I then call up GE warranty assuming I can get a refund and give the fridge back to them. “We do repair or replacement only.” They tell me. “And we can’t replace it unless repair determines it can’t be repaired.” So I say fine, send repair so they can determine it’s not repairable and issue a replacement which I’ll sell or use somewhere else. So GE calls - guess who? Lake Appliance Repair. They scheduled an appointment for, guess when? Over three weeks away. Then, they call back and say that the technician is unavailable three weeks from now and can only do it within the next three days. Mind you it’s thanksgiving. I tell them okay fine. Here is a code to get in. They then email me after 6pm to let me know that because I had someone else look at the fridge (who correctly diagnosed it when they could not), they must have “tampered” with it. So they refuse to come out at all and to call GE for someone else. Of course I’ll now have to wait two days to call since it’s the holidays as they are not open. It apparently doesn’t matter that they were the last ones to work on the fridge. If anything is considered “tampered with” or broke, it would be them and they are legally responsible for any damage. Also, per advice I’ve since received, Lake Appliance Repair is demonstrably incompetent. Why? Because they should have tested the system with a vacuum pump on day one. They should have used a leak detector and tightened all the fittings and brought welding tools, flux and copper lines to make any leak repairs. But the kid that came out appeared to bring none of that with him. At this point I’m glad they refused to repair the unit because I want off their circus merry-go-round.

If I could give zero stars I would do it. My refrigerator hasn't even been repaired and this has already been the worst service experience I have ever had. I've lost count of the times I've asked to speak to a supervisor (through text, because it's impossible to contact a person by phone) and I have no confidence that my problem was diagnosed correctly in the first place. I could go on and on about the incompetence I've experienced with this company but I've wasted entirely too much time dealing with them. I'm asking Kitchenaid for a new service provider and a full refund. Do not use this company if you expect any sort of customer service at all.

This was the second time Brandon has been to our home for a service call. Once for our refrigerator a few years ago, just now for our microwave. Both times he was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He told what we needed done, what was ok, and how much the repair will cost.
