We have had an issue with our refrigerator for a while now. Basically when we used the water dispenser it would leak on the inside of the freezer. Bryan was super helpful in diagnosing and fixing the problem. Fast service and very knowledgeable about everything. He even asked me about any other appliance I had and if I had questions. I called and they immediately scheduled a visit. They were very competent and extremely responsive. I used them to repair to refrigeration units and install an ice machine. I will be contacting them for annual maintenance too.

They were super responsive to my request, fast to schedule a visit with easy communication over email, text and phone. Their tech was very respectful, came in the time window and even sent s text when he was en route. He clearly explained their process and their explanation of the suggested repair. When there was even a little doubt, they even came back for a second visit (with no additional cost) to check another possible solution. They were able to make the correct assessment and fix my refrigerator at less cost and time (for parts and labor) than initially thought. Recommend highly.

Richard damaged the floor of my unit and would not take responsibility for it. I’m getting a final bid on the floor and will be taking him to court. If you look close at the picture, you can see where the refrigerator dragged on the floor. I would stay away.

Final update: I had another appliance repair company out to look at the same issue. Within five minutes he said the ice maker needed replaced. He ordered the part, under warranty, and within a week was back to install it. It works great now. I know who to call now for Thermador or Bosch repair in town. Short review: Dustin / Rader Appliance would be well served with some training in customer service. He clearly doesn’t subscribe to the axiom that the customer is always right, walking away from my house stating “I’ll never work for you again.” EDIT: reducing this to one star as Dustin straight up lies in his response below stating: "You were upfront notified in the initial phone call when scheduling for service that the manufacturers warranty policy is for warranty services due to parts and workmanship of the product only also described and outlined within the use and care manual provided with the unit when you purchased the product." This is not true. As I note below: I explained the problem to Dustin, stating my thought that it could possibly be just poor design, and his only response was “no it’s not a poor design, I have a few ideas of what the issue might be." No other discussion regarding what the warranty covers. I understand the manufacturer may be putting Dustin in a bad spot here, but instead of trying to figure out a good solution for all, he's just being dishonest and blaming the customer. Original review: I’ve called Dustin three or four times to repair Bosch/Thermador appliances as there are only a few people in Kansas City that work on these brands, and as of right now he has the best Google reviews. But just like anyone you hire, some experiences are good and some are bad. Here is one of the bad reviews for Dustin at Rader Appliance. This visit was to look at the icemaker in a Thermador refrigerator. I first contacted Thermador customer service to describe the issue (it make small slivers of ice in addition to the cubes, which ultimately all freeze together in a giant clump). I suspected that the issue was likely the way the appliance was designed, but I wanted to make sure before the warranty expired. They couldn’t identify anything over the phone, and after confirming it was still in warranty referred me to a local repair person – Rader Appliance. I called and spoke to Dustin and described the issue to him along with my thought that it may just be the way it is designed. He told me over the phone “no it’s not a poor design, I have a few ideas of what the issue might be” and scheduled to come out a couple days later. As soon as he arrived and I described the issue to him again he basically told me that’s just the way it is and his LG icemaker does the same thing. He opened it up, looked at it and confirmed that it was working as intended. At this point he tells me that Bosch/Thermador has sent out a “bulletin” that they will not pay the repair person in a situation where they don’t actually fix or replace something. He keeps talking for a couple minutes without ever telling me he is asking me to pay him for his visit. So I finally just ask, are you telling me I am supposed to pay you? And in his verbose way he says he will not get paid for it otherwise. So if Thermador isn’t going to pay him for this visit, that sucks and is wrong. Dustin shouldn’t be eating the cost of the visit. I get that. Thermador should pay for it. I contacted them first describing the problem. If there was a possibility of it not being covered by the warranty that should have been communicated at the time. I would be happy to help him with work with Thermador to get paid by them as he rightfully should. But Dustin just digs in, telling me that I “talked to customer service and they don’t know anything” and that if I don’t pay him he won’t ever work for him again. At this point, the cause is lost and I just led him to the door. He walked away saying "I will never work for you again!"

5 Stars – Professionalism at Its Best When my Bosch refrigerator's ice maker stopped working just shy of three years in, I wasn’t exactly thrilled. I reached out to Bosch, and while their response left me a bit underwhelmed, to their credit, they did point me toward Rader's Appliance Repair — and that made all the difference. Enter Dustin. From the moment he arrived, it was clear I was in good hands. Professional, efficient, and incredibly knowledgeable, he diagnosed the issue quickly and had everything back up and running in no time. No fuss, no runaround — just solid, dependable service. Sure, spending over 20% of the original price of the fridge on a repair wasn’t ideal — but let’s be honest, that’s the cost of keeping high-end appliances running. And frankly, I’ve come to accept it as part of the ownership experience. I’ve seen some mixed reviews out there, but many seem to stem from misunderstandings about warranty coverage. Don’t let that deter you. Rader's Appliance Repair does exactly what they’re supposed to do — and they do it well. If you’ve got a Bosch appliance in need of attention, don’t hesitate. Call Rader’s. Ask for Dustin. You’ll be glad you did.
