The Owner (Andrew) was kind enough to squeeze me into his busy Friday schedule. He showed up when he said he would. He did a fine job fixing the refrigerator and even cleaned up the area when the job was completed. Thank you Andrew!

Andrew is the most dedicated and professional appliance repairman that has ever serviced my appliances. He's very kind, thoughtful, thorough, and methodical. Plus he gives detailed information regarding what needs to be done to repair your appliance. I highly recommend him and will continue to use his services for my appliance repair needs. Update 11/27/24: Once again Andrew came through for my family. My dryer was broken and Andrew was able to quickly diagnose the problem. I have a Samsung dryer which is very complex to repair. However, Andrew knew which parts in my dryer were bad. My dryer is now performing like it's brand new. Andrew is an all around good guy that really knows what he is doing as an appliance repair professional. If you need your refrigerator, washer, dryer, or stove repaired give him a call.

Job # 778795. Repair technician KC diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator as follows: "The unit wasn't cooling because the compressor was running at over 50 psi. I replaced the compressor, then ran the unit through a vacuum and charged it by scale. It works fine now." Five (5) hours after technician's departure, temperature in refrigerator registers at 60°F. No fan activity apparent in refrigerator compartment. Temperature in freezer registers at 48°F. Temperature in in-door ice maker does not appear any different than in main refrigerator compartment. In short, refrigerator/freezer DOES NOT work fine. I am completely DISSATISFIED with SOLAR Appliance Repair's service on this job.

New Whirlpool top freezer. Came 2 check 5 X's why refrigerator making all different noises. Replaced freezer fan & motor. Last guy (Paul H) that came actually knew this refrigerator's sounds & convinced me that sounds were really normal. My refrigerator compressor uses butane not freon, which is better. Sounds have gotten better but took 2 months to "settle down". Woke me 3:20 AM with loud groaning & squealing then hissing as it was cooling. Then new sound like fan cracking ice.

I will not recommend Solar Refrigeration & Appliance Service to anyone. It took forever to get in 2 parts for a 3 months old refrigerator that was purchased from Lowe's. I called Lowe's after having the fridge 3 months to report that it Broke/Wouldn't Cool. I requested to have a swap. Loews said No, it's under warranty it's New. Loews told me to contact Frigidaire for repair. I called Frigidaire and they said Solar Refrigerator & Appliance would come out to repair the refrigerator. Solar said "You need 2 Parts. How long will it take to get the parts? Next week on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went. I was then told middle of next week. When the parts came in and the repairman finally looked at the refrigerator and I was told that the refrigerator had to reset. I didn't see the repairman change out the two parts but I was shown a used part. Long story short, I'll Never Buy Anything From Lowe's, Frigidaire and Definitely Won't Let Solar Refrigerator & Appliance work on anything that I own.

Back in mid-July, we had been experiencing periodic large leaks from our refrigerator onto our kitchen floor. A Solar technician came out to take a look. He looked under the refrigerator and said it looked dry. I explained that this was not a consistent leak but every few days. He said as best he could tell the leak was being cause by the defrost cycle, that our refrigerator was somewhat unlevel, and he thought that might be causing the leak because it was not draining properly. He leveled the refrigerator thinking that would solve the problem. I then spent most of the next month out of town. With being out of town, I did not notice the leak, which was of the same size, frequency, and location, was still occurring for a couple of weeks and did not have time with work to get someone back out until late August. Another technician was at our home for an unrelated issue (our dishwasher pump broke), and when I asked him about it, he said I needed to call the office and request the same technician as before. He told me while normally they only waive the service fee for repeat calls within 30 days, they may if I explain I was out of town and it was the same unresolved issue. I called the office and explained to the receptionist the situation. After putting me on hold, she came back and told me it would be up to the technician when he came back out to determine whether it was in fact the same issue and that would decide whether they could waive the new service fee. When the technician came out, he said he was never contacted about that and that I would need to call his supervisor, whom I tried, unsuccessfully, to reach, and was told the service fee would not be waived. This is despite the fact that on the second visit, the technician found a clog in the drain that was causing the leak all along. So, I now not only had to pay a second service fee for a problem that should have been caught and fixed over a month prior, but in the interim several floor boards around my refrigerator have been damaged due to the continued water intrusion. I have used Solar many times in the past both personally and professionally in my capacity as a real estate agent, but moving forward I will be taking my business elsewhere. It is less about the money, as it is a relatively small fee, and more about the lack of communication and taking of responsibility for the oversight of the technician.

Their service men were very personable and professional. My wife and I were very satisfied with the result. Our refrigerator is now working as it should. Thanks.
