They kept me informed about who the technician was and when to expect him. My refrigerator was leaking and forming ice under the crisper. He (Brad) was courteous and knew what the problem was and ordered the part, he was very knowledgeable and explained everything. I didn’t expect them to get the part in so quickly. Brad came back, installed the part and was on his way. Everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend this company and Brad.

On October 25, 2024, my Frigidaire Refrigerator was defrosting. It was already 40 degrees at 9:00 AM. I needed someone to take a look at it fast because it was making loud noise. Most of the Repair Companies I called were fully booked and wouldn't be able to come till about a week after or so. Eventually, I found Mr. Appliance who can come on the same day because according to the Customer Service Representative "they prioritize the Refrigerator Repair. She said that they can fix the problem on the same day since they can access parts needed nearby." She said that the Diagnostic will cost $125 + tax and will be waived if I decide to have their Technician do the repair. The Technician named Eric came at 2:06 PM (based on the Ring Camera Recording). He moved the refrigerator forward and went in the back of it and did some test. He went outside at 2:23 PM and came back after 15 minutes at 2:38 PM. I am not sure what he did outside for that long period of time. He started working again at the back of the fridge plugging and unplugging it. Then, he came out again at 2:53 PM for about 6 minutes this time, came back in at 2:59 PM. At 3:25 PM, he told me that "the fridge compressor is gone". When I mentioned what the representative told me that the technician can get the part, he said he doesn't have the part for it and that I am better off buying a new refrigerator because replacing the compressor will cost me as much as the new refrigerator. He prepared the invoice that cost $125.00 + 8.75 Sales Tax. The total cost paid was $133.75. He said that he will e-mail me a copy which I didn't get. I had to e-mail the company and requested a copy. When I got the copy, it has a Recommended Task for it which he didn't tell me before he left. It says "Cold Control Repair or Replace for $332.94". This is the kind of experience I don't want to have to go through again in the future. I decided to post this to let the Consumer know about this Bad Business Practice. Response to Mr. Appliance Reply to the Original Post (11/16/2024 4:12 PM) : I have a Camera in the Kitchen so whatever Eric said was recorded, including when he left the kitchen and came back. When he said that the Compressor is gone, that it was not fixable, I asked him if he could get the part. He said he didn't have the part. I told him that according to the Customer Service Representative who scheduled the appointment that your technician could get the part from nearby and come back and fix it. Eric said he doesn't have the part and I will be better off getting a new refrigerator. I have a witness who can attest to that aside from the Video Recording inside the house. I told him I wanted my fridge to be fixed as soon as possible which was why I agreed to have it done by Mr. Appliance. I can put together the Ring Video from outside and the footage of the Video inside to prove that your technician was lying. The video cannot lie.
