Best Refrigeration Repair Companies in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Note that this is a franchise and that my review is only for the Ann Arbor, Michigan location. The refrigerator was not cooling sufficiently. I was advised by my regular HVAC vendor to try this office because they were booked up for almost 2 months. Seeing that this office had good reviews, I gave it a shot. I was not disappointed. Booking was easy and I was able to get an appointment within a week. A text was sent to me the Friday before the appointment to confirm the 2 hour window ETA, along with a photo and first name of the technician. David called when he was a few minutes from arrival. He diagnosed the problem, explained what was wrong, the parts that had to be ordered and when he could be back to fix the problem, and at what cost. They accept credit card payment. Well, the problem was satisfactorily fixed on the date and time promised. David was very professional and took care not to damage the wooden kitchen floor. He also cleaned out the condenser coil. Anyone getting David will be satisfied with his work.

GE refrigerator stopped cooling. Called a few places, with Mr Appliance responding promptly (before everyone else by a lot) and they came out the following morning. Primary controller was defective which they acquired the part and fixed the unit later that same day. Technician was polite and informative. Awesome service. Mr Appliance is now at the top of my list for any appliance issues I may have in the future.

Great service call. Identified and fixed the problem with my Samsung refrigerator very quickly. Friendly, professional and reliable. Highly recommend!

David (the refrigerator repair technician) was very knowledgeable, helpful and respectful. He really knew his stuff.

Edit: The owner called and we discussed the morning's events. To give him credit, he listened and apologized for our bad experience. He defended Dave as one of their best technicians and admitted that communication is not one of Dave's strengths. He asked what he could do to improve our experience? I do appreciate this, and thus have bumped it from one star to two stars. It was still a bad experience but the owner will work with the technician to ensure that this is an outlier, not the norm. There is only so much he can do to improve what has already happened. I don't want to go through this again, so we are sticking with ice trays, if we can find them. But kudos to business owner for calling and realizing one of his workers has a weakness and needs help, even if he's good technically. Original post: I have never given a 1 star review before. But Dave arrived and had no clue how to fix our GE refrigerator's ice maker. After a few minutes of fruitlessly poking at the ice maker he put in the sink, he went out to get a ladder (to the van in front of our house) and sat in the van for 15 minutes. But hey! it was a nice day. Then he went into the basement, talking to the phone in his earpiece the whole time (I asked previously who he was speaking to. First answer: "to myself." Second answer: "other technicians on other tickets"). He could not find the water source for our fridge after 20 minutes down there, talking the whole time. So, after 45 minutes, we had: our ice maker sitting in the sink. No clue what was wrong with it. A repair guy in the basement chatting away about either his weekend or our ticket or other people's issues, take your pick. While he was in the basement, I called the office to let them know what was going on. The woman on the phone said that yes, it was acceptable for him to be on the phone to get support from other technicians. Ok. So how about taking 15 minutes to retrieve a stepladder? No response. I told him to leave. Their policy is to charge $119 for a diagnostic if we decide not to have them fix it. But our clueless wonder had no idea what was wrong, so I am not paying for a diagnosis that does not exist. Guess I'll find some ice trays and return to the 1980's. I'll survive somehow. Do not hire Mr. Appliance.

Great experience with refrigerator repair.

Can't give them enough credit for quick and dependable service. The refrigerator side of our new Whirlpool frig stopped cooling. Because it is under a year old, I first called Whirlpool. The best they could do would have been 2-1/2 weeks for them to arrange for a repair. I called Dave Smith Appliance direct and they set up an appoint for 6 days, that included the weekend. Alan was the tech, whom we've had here before. He determined the problem, said he'd get the part on order and was even able to do a temporary "fix" to get the refrigerator side working again until the part could be installed. Alan was back in a week and performed the permanent repair. Five stars for Alan, he was on time, quick and professional. And 5 stars for Dave Smith Appliance for responding as quickly as they could. I just wish I could say the same for the Whirlpool refrigerator. We just bought it in October and this is the second repair we've had to have done in 4 months time.

We had Frank, Dave's Appliance repair person, twice to check our LG refrigerator ice maker. He found it defective and replaced it. He was very thorough, competent and friendly. Thank you for your service.

Excellent refrigerator service

The technician called to let me know the estimated arrival time. He knew what the problem was before he took apart my refrigerator when I told him what was happening. It did not take him long to fix the issue. He also helped me to sign up for the warranty to save money for my appliances. He was very helpful! I have been using Sears Direct for over 8 years now.

We’ve had two service people coming to our home to work on two refrigerators and each time, both techs did a really great job in diagnosing, ordering the necessary parts needed for the repairs and completing the job once parts arrived to our house. Not only that, but they kept the appliance and surrounding working area completely clean. We’ve been pleasantly impressed by the service.

The commitment that Ed showed to getting our refrigerator fixed after multiple attempts was impressive. He did a fantastic job and came back several times often working through a break to make sure things happened. The office manager did a great job getting us the parts the fact that the scheduling service canceled us several times at the last minute was very disappointing, but Ed did a fantastic job.
