Great service, the tech Dean that did our repair was quick and efficient and fixed what needed to he fixed. I told them we needed a new ice maker and he identified it was a water valve. No up sell, just what needed to be done!!

Although great experience in the past, they were unable to service the ice maker in our KitchenAid refrigerator. Had to refer us to KitchenAid Customer Service for a certified KitchenAid repair person. Wasted three weeks.

Bryan is the man!! He diagnosed the leaking problem within minutes. The news about the cooling coil wasn't great, but he was honest. He fixed the leaking problem and we discussed several scenarios for the future. The ice maker wasn't working (I'd guess faulty installation by another company). Bryan took things apart, checked the wiring, checked the model number, etc. He reinstalled everything, now the ice maker is working!! And, he took a few minutes to advise me on all the other appliances in the kitchen...what to watch for, etc. Put his name on our file. I want Bryan as the tech for any future issues.

Updated 7/27- I reached out to follow up again and see about getting my ice machine fixed. I was very understanding with covid and hoped with things getting back to normal that maybe it would be easier to get things fixed. I sent them a message right before the 4th of July and was told someone would get back to be after the holiday weekend which is completely reasonable. 2 weeks go by and I hear nothing so I send another message. This time I’m told that they’re on top of it and we’re going to reach out the next day about getting it picked up on Tuesday last week and returned on Thursday. Nobody called, nobody showed up. I sent another message last Thursday letting them know nobody called and nobody showed up, and that I would be available today until noon if they wanted to pick it up this week. I was told they would let the technician know. It’s noon, and nobody has called or shown up. I spent a lot of money for them to replace a part on a machine that still doesn’t work, not to mention the time off of work to be here for people who don’t show up. This is terrible customer service. And after reading another recent review with a similar situation, I wonder if the money I spent on the new compressor was even needed. I just want this machine fixed. I was really disappointed with the service I received. I had a technician come out to look at a small commercial ice machine I have at home. Long story short, it’s been 3 months, I’ve spent $1000, and I still don’t have a working ice machine. They fired the technician who came out when I was waiting on him to get a new part and I never heard from them. So I called and they apologized and made an appointment for the owner of the company to come out the following week. He never showed up so I called and asked if he was still coming and they had no record of the appointment. They made an appointment for him to come back the following week. He came and was very nice, apologetic about how long this has taken. Said he would let me know the next day about getting the part ordered. I never heard back. I called the office the next week and left a voicemail asking what the scoop was, if they were going to keep working on this or if I needed to find someone else. Nobody has returned my call. I know they’re busy but telling me they’re going to follow up and then ghosting me doesn’t built confidence. My folks had a great experience using them but this has really been frustrating.

Eric was on time and respectful. He came in, assessed the situation and told us he’d be back the next day at 3pm. At 3pm the next day, he was back with the parts and had us making ice. We are back to having ice come out of our fridge and we are thrilled. Would recommend Hometown Heroes and Eric.
