Fantastic service! He was able to come out and assess and identify the problem with our freezer within a few hours and had the parts ordered the same day. Explained the problem and the solution in detail and was upfront about cost. As soon as the parts came in he made it back to our house and repaired our freezer very quickly. We will absolutely be using him for all our household appliances.

Outstanding service! I called Zergan to have them stop out and take a look at our fridge as the freezer was having trouble keeping things fully frozen. I called on a Friday , and almost could not believe that someone was going to come out the next day and review my issue. Max to the rescue! Not only did he save the day, but because he was efficient and detailed in his approach to the problem, none of the food was ruined. As others have mentioned, fair pricing , timely service , and the correct fix for the problem are a rare find in today's service industry and this company delivers on all three fronts. We unfortunately had a very negative experience with this company. Our refrigerator/freezer was not staying cold/frozen. The repair man came our same day and reported that we were low on freon but assured us he did not find a leak. We were then charged $47 an ounce for freon (for reference HVAC companies charge that price per pound). He charged us for 6oz of freon and $260 for labor (was not at our house longer than 30 minutes). 24 hours later and our refrigerator still was not staying cold. After looking at our appliance manual we realized that our fridge only takes 4.5 oz of Freon and that it is a closed system so it would be impossible to “just be low” like we were told. The repair man came back out and told us this time the Freon was gone again. We paid $717 the day before for the problem to not even be fixed and ended up having to buy a new refrigerator. When we voiced how upset we were he said he would check with his boss to see if we could be reimbursed, but we of course never heard back even after calling again. We unfortunately feel like we were completely taken advantage of by the repair man with him knowing we were in a time sensitive situation.

We called Niyalu due to a malfunctioning freezer. The tech arrived right on time, and almost immediately diagnosed the problem as low refrigerant. The price of refrigerant is very expensive, but that's not his fault. The service was very prompt and attentive, and I couldn't have asked for a friendlier, nicer technician. I'll absolutely call Niyalu again if we need another appliance repaired!

David was very responsive when I had my freezer die on me, he came out two days in a row after making the initial repair and then another issue arose. He stayed in touch daily with me for a week after to ensure that the refrigerator was running consistently and did a follow up visit to double check that everything was running correctly. Great customer service and responsiveness.

We had this company to our house on 5 occasions. The first time the tech came, he told us our fridge had a coolant issue and replaced and charged us for coolant. The fridge didn't work the next day, so he came back and said it was actually a compressor issue. We purchased a compressor from them and he installed the compressor. The fridge still did not work after several days, so he came back and reinstalled the compressor. A week before our compressor warranty was up, our fridge and freezer both stopped work. This time the tech came and said it was an issue with our control panel. It became clear in that moment that the company knew there was a larger issue with our fridge, but tricked us into spending a lot of time and money with them replacing and servicing other items that did not need servicing. They were unwilling to come get the compressor and refund us for it. I do not recommend this company unless you want to work with crooks.

Freezer was not cooling and I was able to set up an appointment in a few days in which Ted arrived right when he stated. He was able to fix the freezer within half an hour and the cost of the repair was considerably less than purchasing a new unit. Will definitely use Steel City Appliance whenever needed

Took four weeks to replace ice maker in freezer compartment. It never worked right from the start.Now it has totally quit. Will not answer voice mail ,text message, or e-mail.I JUST GOT SCREWED FOR 235 .00.

Steel City Appliance Repair is an outstanding business. I had 3 appliances that needed repairs and Ted was able to schedule an appointment for two days after my call. I had a fridge that wasn’t cold enough but the freezer was too cold, a dishwasher that wouldn’t drain, and a gas range that had a bad control board. All three appliances are around 30 years old. Ted and I discussed the prices for new control boards for old gas ranges and I decided to replace the range instead of repairing it. Ted quickly deduced that I had forgotten the knock out when I recently installed a garbage disposal, which blocked the dishwasher from draining. He offered to fix the knock out and had it fixed in about 10 minutes. The fridge took some investigation but again with little time spent, Ted was able to troubleshoot the problem. There is a small vent that moves air from the freezer to the fridge that had ice buildup and was blocked. Ted had a steamer with him and was able to defrost the vent and fix the problem. Everything took about 45 minutes and cost me less than $300. Ted was polite, respectful, and explained everything I asked about. I’m sure a large chain would have tried to charge $1200 for the same work and would not have left me nearly as satisfied.

I have used Steel City Appliance repair twice. Once for an ice maker in my freezer and once for a dishwasher. Every step of the process was easy and stress free. Both appliances are back to working like new again. Ted is very knowledgeable, prompt and professional. I also recommended him to my daughter to have her dishwasher repaired also. Highly recommend this company!

Appliance Service Center was able to accommodate my appliance needs the same day that I called! They fixed the freezer door handle on my refrigerator plus did some minor work on my stove. Both appliances look brand new! Very knowledgeable, efficient, and reasonable. I’m happy. Would highly recommend.
