The part for our freezer was discontinued so we couldn't use them

First, I loved the fact that you can book online and they actually get back to you as soon as possible. I told them the issue with my refrigerator not cooling but my freezer was still working and Jennifer suggested to get some dry ice to keep things from spoiling until my repair could be made. They wanted to come asap but my work schedule is crazy and had to wait until my day off, so thank you Jennifer for the helpful bandaid. Appointment time came and Dean was here to save the day. He took the time to explain to me the diagnosis and defrosted the freezer so that my fridge would limp on until the parts came in, the ‘motherboard’ was the culprit. So the next appt was made which was almost another week. Then, much to my surprise, the crew was able to find the part in town and they called me to let me know that not only that they found the parts BUT THEY COULD COME BACK TODAY and complete my repair! But wait it gets better! And it was going to be CHEAPER by almost $90!! Dean came back with the motherboard in hand, completed my repair and was so kind to put everything back into the freezer for me while I was outside doing a project. I would suggest to everyone to give Trager Appliance Repair a chance. They are very customer service friendly, care about your appliances and your pocketbook. Thank Trager Appliance Repair! We have had an issue with our refrigerator for a while now. Basically when we used the water dispenser it would leak on the inside of the freezer. Bryan was super helpful in diagnosing and fixing the problem. Fast service and very knowledgeable about everything. He even asked me about any other appliance I had and if I had questions. I asked him a question about the washer and bam! Had an answer and even showed me the solution. Definitely recommend and will be contacting them again with any questions or needs! Thanks again!

The representatives were friendly, explained what they were doing and when the freezer could not be repaired discussed brands that were good to replace with. He gave me good advice and I will recommend this company and use them again.

Editing my original review after trying to work with this company and the owner. I gave 5 starts initially because they offer a 10% discount if you leave a five star review. But the unprofessional customer service and lack of response or slow response deserves 1 star. I leave zero if I could. Specifically because of the rude owner. Our original problem started in September 2022 and it fixed the problem for a while. The original technician came back out in December to fix the issue once more. Then the same problem started happening again this summer. I unplugged our fridge to defrost the freezer since that was the original issue and what the technician had me do the first time so I was trying to be proactive. This second service call, the owner came. I apparently shouldn’t have unplugged it and I tried to tell the owner it was the same problem as before. Justin (owner) basically scolded me for turning it off and said he’s been doing this for years so he can’t diagnose it until the fridge is back up and running for a while. Ok, my mistake. He said he would call back in a day or two to come back. He didn’t. The problem stopped for a while so I didn’t try to contact them again. Justin returned when my husband was present on 9/7/23 and said we would need something else replaced. My husband told Justin/Appliance 911 to contact me after we discussed it to order the part if that’s the direction we decided to go. He never called. So I called the office on 9/19 and asked if Justin ordered the part because we hadn’t heard anything from him. Or if anything to tell them we want the part ordered since he didn’t call. They said the office doesn’t confirm but the technician does so she gave me Justin’s cell phone number. And said she would also let him know to call me. I called the office and Justin’s cell again on 9/21 and no answer. I called Justin’s cell on 9/22 and shortly after he texted back asking if he could call me back. He never called back that day. So I texted him on Monday, 9/25, asking him to please call me. He responded shortly after asking me who it was. I told him who it was and that I wondered if he ordered the part because he never called us back. His response was “Actually I tried twice but I went ahead and ordered it though”. My number is the only number the company has on file. My husband nor I received any calls from him or the office. I told him that and his next rude text back was “I’m not gonna argue with you about if you were called I own the company I did call twice and it went straight to vm maam”. Regardless of that fact, why wouldn’t you leave a voicemail??? Tell me to call back, ask if we want the part ordered, anything?! It shouldn’t take 3 weeks and multiple calls, texts and voicemails to get a response. And if the part was ordered, did it come in, how long would it take if not? It’s basic customer service and courtesy and this business lacks that - especially from the owner. I don’t talk to people like that in general, I can’t imagine speaking to a customer that way. So in the end, a big reason they probably have 5 star google reviews is because they offer a discount for doing that. It’s definitely not because of the customer service. Original review: Our freezer quit working and they were able to come look at the freezer the very next day. When the technician arrived he was able to take the freezer apart quickly and diagnose the problem. He was able to overnight the part and get it repaired the next day!

The tech was kind and timely. The freezer issue was unable to be resolved but Appliance 911 Repair did all they could to make it right. They were extremely professional!

I can't say enough about the knowledge, professionalism, and overall excellent client experience provided by Master Technician Kyle Skaggs. The freezer section of our 2 year-old Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator was not freezing properly. It displayed an H-1 error on the freezer side. Kyle did a thorough review of the appliance and was able to determine the issue. He gave us an overview of the diagnosis, quoted us a fair price and repaired it. Kyle left his card and information. I can say with confidence that if I ever have another appliance issue (knock on wood that I don't)...Kyle & Hometown Hero will be the first call that I make.

Technician was very courteous and knowledgeable about the ice maker issue with our Samsung Refrigerator/Freezer. Jacob did a very good job for us. Hopefully the changes Samsung made to the replacement icemaker and control board will keep the issue from recurring.

If I had the option of zero star, I would have given them a zero star. I lost total 8 hours of work because they could not keep their appointment. Not sure of the quality of repair either. After repairs, they asked us not put food in the freezer for 3 days to make sure the freezer does not have any leaks. To me, this looks like lack of confidence of your own work. I will now have to wait for 3 more days to see if my freezer is fixed or not. Not happy at all.

In this disposable society it’s nice to know there’s someone local that can fix our appliances and keep them out of the landfill. Appliances are too expensive to replace them needlessly. Tom and his staff are so friendly it’s always fun to go there! Their prices are reasonable and they’re very honest. You’ll get an upfront estimate and the $25 deposit gets applied to your repair. They also have good deals on used appliances. I bought a used chest freezer from them earlier this summer so i could have extra ice cubes and freezer space for a big family gathering. It works great and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg like a new one would have. Sweet! If you’v got an appliance that’s on the fritz, give these folks a try. They’re conveniently located at 75th Street and Metcalf Avenue and you could always pop around the corner and have a nice cold beer and juicy burger at Burg and Barrel after you drop off your vacuum or microwave or whatever. You’ll have money leftover for beer cause Mr. Fixit’s prices are so reasonable.

I am beyind grateful to Mr. Fixit who came and fixed my washer. The big box stores both tried to sell me a new one and had no one they could recommend to do repairs. Tom with Mr. Fixit sent someone right away. Ironically he also had a new freezer i ended up buying for an exeptional price and did delivery and install by professional men immediately. I am so glad i went there. Friendly, and professional customer service.
