Our refrigerator / freezer ceased to cool and make ice. I called Dye's on Friday and they were able to come to our house first thing Monday morning. They were able to quickly determine that the compressor was failing and we discussed the cost to replace it and the time that it would take to do so. After a very "educational" discussion (much appreciated), we determined to purchase a new appliance. I appreciate the candor, honesty, timeliness and clarity of Dye's assessment and advice. Nothing fancy, just "good ole" knowledge learned and shared by "doing". Thank you!

Our freezer was having trouble maintaining temps, so we called Dye's to have a tech out to look at it. They were able to get someone out the next day, and Justin was great to work with. He called ahead of the appointment to make sure we were ready for him and he had the problem diagnosed in about 10 min. His recommendation was to purchase a new fridge because the problem was costly to fix, and there was no guarantee it would be a long term solution. I appreciate his up front honesty. He didn't try to push us into a costly repair when a new fridge was the better option for us. We'll definitely be using Dye's again when we need our other appliances serviced.

Came out and diagnosed the problem with our freezer. Professional and great service

Setting up an appointment was extremely easy. The service call charge was very reasonable . Blake was very professional and explained what he was going to check first. All I needed was a circuit board replaced and he had it in his truck. And now my refrigerator runs & the freezer freezes. This place is awesome, and I recommend it to anyone who needs appliance repair.

The part for our freezer was discontinued so we couldn't use them

First, I loved the fact that you can book online and they actually get back to you as soon as possible. I told them the issue with my refrigerator not cooling but my freezer was still working and Jennifer suggested to get some dry ice to keep things from spoiling until my repair could be made. They wanted to come asap but my work schedule is crazy and had to wait until my day off, so thank you Jennifer for the helpful bandaid. Appointment time came and Dean was here to save the day. He took the time to explain to me the diagnosis and defrosted the freezer so that my fridge would limp on until the parts came in, the ‘motherboard’ was the culprit. So the next appt was made which was almost another week. Then, much to my surprise, the crew was able to find the part in town and they called me to let me know that not only that they found the parts BUT THEY COULD COME BACK TODAY and complete my repair! But wait it gets better! And it was going to be CHEAPER by almost $90!! Dean came back with the motherboard in hand, completed my repair and was so kind to put everything back into the freezer for me while I was outside doing a project. We have had an issue with our refrigerator for a while now. Basically when we used the water dispenser it would leak on the inside of the freezer. Bryan was super helpful in diagnosing and fixing the problem. Fast service and very knowledgeable about everything. He even asked me about any other appliance I had and if I had questions. I asked him a question about the washer and bam! Had an answer and even showed me the solution. Definitely recommend and will be contacting them again with any questions or needs! Thanks again!

The representatives were friendly, explained what they were doing and when the freezer could not be repaired discussed brands that were good to replace with. He gave me good advice and I will recommend this company and use them again.

Read before considering Able: They require HUGE windows to arrive. Prepare to take a day off work just to wait for them (10am-3pm). I called them for a refrigerator issue weeks ago, they sent out a tech ($100 just for a 10 min visit). Said I needed to defrost the freezer before they could work. Ok done. They never followed up. Called them again, said they'd call me again. Nothing even weeks later. In that time, I ordered the part, learned how to fix refrigerators, and fixed my fridge. 1. Do your homework: preorder the part, defrost ahead of time. Treat the repairman as someone you might see once if you're lucky. 2. Or just do the job yourself. YouTube is a wonderful resource, plus you can order most stuff off Amazon. 3. Just buy a new fridge. Honestly the bill they gave me for work on my machine was HALF the cost for a new fridge.

Nathan from Able Appliance originally thought the issue was the fan to the freezer but upon working on it he found that the real cause was a faulty temp sensor that’s no longer in service. He removed it and created a bypass to the fan. Freezer works perfectly fine now. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism. I’d recommend him to anyone with appliance issues.

Our freezer was working but the refrigerator wasn't. Technician Robert replaced our evaporator fan and now everything is back to normal. It was a generally pleasant experience. I believe I will call Able again if we need appliance repair in the future.

I had John come to my home today for a loud freezer. He was on time, curtious, and was able to diagnosis the problem in a matter of seconds. He was in and out after about 15 minutes after fixing the issue and doing a quality inspection of my freezer. 100% would recommend and I will be reaching out to them for future services.

Final update: I had another appliance repair company out to look at the same issue. Within five minutes he said the ice maker needed replaced. He ordered the part, under warranty, and within a week was back to install it. It works great now. I know who to call now for Thermador or Bosch repair in town. Short review: Dustin / Rader Appliance would be well served with some training in customer service. He clearly doesn’t subscribe to the axiom that the customer is always right, walking away from my house stating “I’ll never work for you again.” EDIT: reducing this to one star as Dustin straight up lies in his response below stating: "You were upfront notified in the initial phone call when scheduling for service that the manufacturers warranty policy is for warranty services due to parts and workmanship of the product only also described and outlined within the use and care manual provided with the unit when you purchased the product." This is not true. As I note below: I explained the problem to Dustin, stating my thought that it could possibly be just poor design, and his only response was “no it’s not a poor design, I have a few ideas of what the issue might be." No other discussion regarding what the warranty covers. I understand the manufacturer may be putting Dustin in a bad spot here, but instead of trying to figure out a good solution for all, he's just being dishonest and blaming the customer. Original review: I’ve called Dustin three or four times to repair Bosch/Thermador appliances as there are only a few people in Kansas City that work on these brands, and as of right now he has the best Google reviews. But just like anyone you hire, some experiences are good and some are bad. Here is one of the bad reviews for Dustin at Rader Appliance. This visit was to look at the icemaker in a Thermador refrigerator. I first contacted Thermador customer service to describe the issue (it make small slivers of ice in addition to the cubes, which ultimately all freeze together in a giant clump). I suspected that the issue was likely the way the appliance was designed, but I wanted to make sure before the warranty expired. They couldn’t identify anything over the phone, and after confirming it was still in warranty referred me to a local repair person – Rader Appliance. I called and spoke to Dustin and described the issue to him along with my thought that it may just be the way it is designed. He told me over the phone “no it’s not a poor design, I have a few ideas of what the issue might be” and scheduled to come out a couple days later. As soon as he arrived and I described the issue to him again he basically told me that’s just the way it is and his LG icemaker does the same thing. He opened it up, looked at it and confirmed that it was working as intended. At this point he tells me that Bosch/Thermador has sent out a “bulletin” that they will not pay the repair person in a situation where they don’t actually fix or replace something. He keeps talking for a couple minutes without ever telling me he is asking me to pay him for his visit. So I finally just ask, are you telling me I am supposed to pay you? And in his verbose way he says he will not get paid for it otherwise. So if Thermador isn’t going to pay him for this visit, that sucks and is wrong. Dustin shouldn’t be eating the cost of the visit. I get that. Thermador should pay for it. I contacted them first describing the problem. If there was a possibility of it not being covered by the warranty that should have been communicated at the time. I would be happy to help him with work with Thermador to get paid by them as he rightfully should. But Dustin just digs in, telling me that I “talked to customer service and they don’t know anything” and that if I don’t pay him he won’t ever work for him again. At this point, the cause is lost and I just led him to the door. He walked away saying "I will never work for you again!"
