To his discovery, a large chunk of ice had encased our wiring, which was likely the root of our issue. He carefully thawed the ice, ensuring no water spilled onto the floor or inside the freezer compartment. Once cleared we could immediately hear the freezer motor restart along with the water flow to the icemaker. Had a great experience with Detroit Appliance who repaired my Samsung refrigerator/freezer. They answered their phone when I called (that seems to be getting rare) and got me on their schedule as soon as was possible - next day. The repairperson who came out was Daryl W. and he was very knowledgeable, professional and informative. A part had to be ordered but he was able to get my unit running again while we waited. When he returned with the part he quickly installed and it and we were all set. I can highly recommend this company for appliance repair! The price seemed fair for the quality of workmanship!
