Luke was awesome! He called me back within minutes of me leaving a message and not only did he come out on a Saturday to assess the issue when my fridge/freezer stopped working, but he walked me through all the details of what was wrong. He really took the time to make sure I understood all the options and answered all my questions. Then he came back out just as promised Monday with the parts and fixed it. Very happy with the whole process from start to finish. I would definitely highly recommend him to anyone who needs appliance repairs and will be using them again if I ever need it.

They arrived on time , replaced the compressor and the refrigerator still does not work. Still reads 60+ degrees in the fridge and the freezer.

Zach, the technician did a great job. He came out and diagnosed the problem. He ordered the parts, had them delivered directly to the house, and then came back and installed the new parts within 30 minutes. However, when I asked him to take the old parts with him, he said that it’s my responsibility to dispose of the old parts. What am I going to do with a large box of freezer parts?

The 2 guys that came to service our refrigerator/freezee were on time, curteous, knowledgeable, cleaned up after themselves and went above and beyond to find parts for our out-of-date freezer.

They did a fantastic job repairing my LG refrigerator. Very timely and efficient. Not only that, I had melted ice cream on my top freezer drawer that I hadn't gotten to yet. My repairman, Mason, cleaned that drawer for me before he left. I came home to a clean freezer. No one does that...made my day. I highly recommend using them.

Wonderful service! They will service outside their area! It's worth a call to ask. Tariq (sp?) came out the day after I found I had an issue with my freezer and drove all the way out to near Lancaster. He was wonderful, professional and friendly. He knew exactly what was wrong with my freezer within minutes and gave us the exact steps to fix it, and even told us to call him either way to follow up and let him know if we needed a new fan. He saved us a lot of money and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company. Please consider using them!

I highly recommend this company. I had 2 other repair companies that misdiagnosed the issue with my refrigerator/freezer. Tariq was very knowledgeable. He found the part needed went and picked it put and finished repair same day. You will not be disappointed.

I was treated as if I and the fact that I was living without refrigeration mattered to this company. They met my needs with empathy and professionalism, from the Administrative Assistant to the Technician. I would not hesitate to use Eco Refrigeration in the future. The above portion of this review was written a little over a month ago, perhaps too soon. I had problems with the refrigerator/freezer again in the past two day and am back to living out of ice chests. I called ECO refrigeration on 8/19/23 leaving a detailed message and asking for assistance. Here it is the evening of 8/22/2023 and I have not received a call back. I lowered my rating to 4 stars and deleted the "Responsive" tag.

I had a great experience with this company! They were able to come out the next day and the tech, Tyrique was very kind and respectful. Luckily after trouble shooting, I was able to get my fridge and freezer working properly but still kept the appointment. Tyrique validated my thoughts on what we think caused the issue. I will definitely use this company again if I need to!

My 14yr old Upright Freezer was not freezing. After evaluation, it had a Coolant leak and he was honest to let me know the repair would cost as much as a new freezer. Would use this company again.

Tyler was great to work with. He knew almost immediately what the problem was with our fridge/freezer. He gave me a quote for 2 things that could be causing the issue, I agreed to the pricing and he ordered the part he felt was most likely the cause of the problem. Geno showed up on time after calling, quickly explained what the issue was and then proceeded to dig in and and correct the problem with our freezer. I was totally impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. I intend to use this repair service in the future.

Unfortunately the service representative was unable to fully repair my refrigerator model “Hisense” but he gets an “A” for effort. The freezer now works but the new replacement part for the ice-maker did not start making ice.

These guys are great. My refrigerator/freezer has been a huge challenge! But they keep coming back and working hard to get it right!

Take caution if Capital City Appliance is called out to repair your appliances. After calling KitchenAid/Whirlpool to report an issue with my freezer's ability to properly cool, a tech came out looked at the refrigerator, and declared nothing wrong. Fast forward a few months I called again to report the same issue because the manufacturer's warranty was about to expire. Again they came, ran tests, and declared there was nothing wrong. Now that the fridge is out of warranty, it completely stopped working and again Capital City came to diagnose. They suggested it was a bad control board and evaporator cover and sent an invoice for a cost of $1000. Because it was out of warranty, I opted to fix the issue myself to save some money. The fridge is now working, but still, the freezer is not cooling properly. I called Capital City again because I had heard there was an extended warranty on some of the cooling components. The same tech came back out and declared the compressor needed to be replaced but said it wouldn't be covered under warranty because I had fixed the control board problem myself. Funny thing is, every time the tech came to visit, he informed me this model of appliance had a number of known issues. If there were known issues, why wouldn't they address them? In short. If your problem is obvious and glaring, they might fix it. Otherwise, you'll need to nag and be a thorn in their side to get anything actually fixed. This is not a company I ever want to work with again.

In 2020 Lowes sent this company out to figure out why my ice maker stopped working and why my freezer wasn’t cooling properly.. The technician came to my house and said nothing was wrong and said “it’s just the way newer appliances are.” This guy had an answer for everything I could throw at him, which all lead down the same path of him not having to do any work. 2 years later I’m at my breaking point with this freezer and call lowes back.. they send out a different company (Protec) and this guy actually took the time to remove some panels and found that my refrigerant system is bad (see photo). I will never use Capital City for any repairs going forward. Response to business: job # is 381381

Do Not Recommend - Their website falsely claims they are “Ohio’s Leader" but I have been in 5 different appliance stores over the last 2 weeks and ALL of their sales associates have told me they would NEVER recommend Capital City Appliance Service. And I agree. We have a 4 year old Frigidaire in which the upper ice maker (3rd time it’s failed) and refrigerator light weren't working . The overall refrigerator/freezer/single icemaker were all functioning properly. Highlights of 4 service visits over a 5 weeks - 1. When my refrigerator and freezer COMPLETELY shut down DURING the 2nd Capital City Appliance service visit (the f1st visit was for an evaluation), the technician (Jerry) refused to contact the manufacturer for assistance. He stated his knowledge was well beyond anyone available at Frigidaire. After his 2nd visit, Jerry left us with a completely non-functioning unit. During his 3rdCapital City Appliance visit, Jerry finally contacted the manufacturer when I mentioned I was unhappy that I had a non-functioning unit now but when he first came to evaluate the unit, it was working with small exceptions. Per my later conversation with Frigidaire, he did contact them but he did not follow up with them as Frigidaire requested. 2. The original plan was to sequentially replace 4 electronic control boards - to determine which board was faulty. We agreed to that plan. During the 4th visit, Jerry (Capital City Appliance technician) refused to return with the 4th control board. He stated it was because questions I asked insulted his technical skills. 3. I reached out to Capital City Appliance's manager (John) and discussed a strategy for a different technician to complete the work/re-evaluate the situation or at least get the unit back up and running as during their first visit; and also to discuss a fee that was fair to both of us in case it could not be returned to its original working order. My style as a customer is typically to be MORE than fair - especially when a small business is involved. I had already paid them $687 for the first 2 control boards which Jerry took with him when they did not return the unit to functioning. John, the Capital City Appliance manager, was to follow up with me after looking through the records. It is 12 days later and he has not reached back out to me, despite me making 3 follow up phone call requests for John to contact me directly to his staff. 4. Frigidaire customer service stated that the control boards were not ordered from Frigidaire. And that if they had been ordered from Frigidaire, they could be returned. John, the Capital City Appliance manager with whom I briefly spoke, said the boards could not be returned. So now I’m wondering if the “non-Frigidaire” parts may have been what caused the unit to shut down completely during the “repair”? I would like to discuss this with Capital City Appliance but John isn't following up as he indicated he would - nor returning my 3 follow up phone calls. The “About Us” story on the Capital City Appliance website says they have been a family owned business since 1968. And that Capital City Appliance has “integrity” now, as they did then. First hand experience has shown otherwise. And I question their “excellence” based on my experience. As a small family owned business, if they want to continue to exist, they have work to do. The arrogance of the Capital City Appliance service technician (specifically Jerry), the use of parts that are not from Frigidaire, and the poor customer service from Capital City Appliance’s manager (John) are not indicative of a “family business” that wants to continue to survive in the central Ohio market. As a result, as many say, Capital City Appliance is deserving of zero stars but I am giving them one. And my next review is on my four year old Frigidaire Professional French Door refrigerator / freezer -which had its third its ice maker problem/ replacement before the entire unit completely shut down during a service visit. It too, will also be given one star!

Our icemaker for our KitchenAid freezer quit working. We paid Capital City Appliance for a replacement icemaker, plus labor and installation, and in less than a year it is not working again. We just called Capital City and the part replacement will be free, but we again have to pay for their labor and installation. Ridiculous that they do not stand behind their work. Buyer beware.

Be aware! This company is NOT registered with the BBB or Angie’s list! I have had Isaac at my house 3 times in the past 2 weeks to fix my refrigerator. Each time he has had to call another colleague to address the problem. It started out as “I think your freezer just needs thawed out”, "if this doesn't work, then we will replace this..." so on and so forth. My refrigerator went from not cooling down completely but the freezer worked great (compressor and fan running fine) to NOTHING working at all! Nothing works except the light when you open the door! After having "the problem" fixed. We have called multiple times, and keep getting the response of “Manny will call” you back, when we ask for mannys number… we are not allowed to have it. They are giving the typical run around if “the board is faulty from distributor etc etc etc.”, "my understanding was you were going to call me” Communication is horrible. I am now out the cost of the “repairs” and diagnostic fee for something that was never diagnosed in the first place, the food in my fridge and freezer twice, and days of dealing with this company! If I could give them zero stars I would! Ps: I also found out that the address listed on their website is not accurate (that’s a lie too) it’s actually 464 east Main Street Columbus Ohio.

I have had a repairman at my house 3 times in 2 weeks to fix my refrigerator. Each time the repairman has had to call another colleague to address the problem. It started out as one thing, "if this doesn't work, we will replace this..." so on and so forth. My refrigerator went from not cooling but the freezer working (compressor and fan running) to NOTHING. Nothing works except the light after having "the problem" fixed. Have called multiple times, keep getting the I'll call you back, the board is faulty from distributor etc etc etc. Calls not being answered, "my understanding was you were going to call me".....quit dodging phone calls. Communication is horrible. Do not advertise you can fix something or do something if you can't or don't want to. Don't waste people's time or money. This is 4 days off of work for a service you provide but don't deliever on. This is the "repair" we received.
