Our 14 year old GE Monogram Freezer stopped working. Called AAA Appliance Repair - Paul Abramov. Within a day he was out. Thoroughly troubleshot the system and found several parts had failed. By the time he got home I got an email saying parts were on order and would be here in 3 to 5 days. Six days later he was back out, parts in hand. Installed and tested. Freezer working again. My KitcheAid built-in refrigerator suddenly stopped working yesterday. The freezer side is cool enough but no airflow goes to the fridge side. I called a few repair shops and no one is available to help fix the problem soon enough. Then we found SmartFix and had Russell come over in a few hours. He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided an estimate to fix on site. Once approved, he proceeded with the repair and got the job done nicely. Thank you Russell for the good service!

Had an issue with refrigerator/freezer. SmartFix was able to make an appointment for quick service and sent Alex out to diagnose. He found the problem, ordered the parts and was about to complete repairs in just 2 trips. Alex was very professional and focused on helping solve the problem. Service Technician Mike arrived promptly at our home, following a text message with picture indicating he was en route. Once Mike arrived, he listened to the symptoms our refrigerator was exhibiting. After he examined the unit, he correctly diagnosed the cause as iced over freezer section air vents. He advised us to unplug the unit for 24 hours to let it thaw, then plug it back in to see if it worked properly. He said we could call back within the week for follow up at no additional cost if necessary. We followed Mike’s advice, and our refrigerator is now working perfectly. Called this company in panic mode because refrigerator quit working and freezer defrosting. Within one hour they came and diagnosed a bad compressor. I had a clogged drain pan that was causing ice build up in my freezer that I had failed to fix myself. Additionally, the water had stopped working on the fridge door. My refrigerator was not staying cool and the freezer was not working. ABC was able to diagnose the issue to a control board, not the compressor. The repair was done in an hour and saved me the cost of a full replacement, which would have been extremely expensive. The total cost was below my expectations. On a Saturday morning I discovered my refrigerator/freezer was not working. I was desperate for service/repair. I called ABC appliance repair and spoke with Alex. My second time using STAR - for the same fridge/ freezer (a 15-year old Frigidaire residential side-by-side). This time, the bottom of my freezer was collecting a huge amount of ice due to a clogged condensation drain line. Sean, my technician, arrived quickly/ on time and did a great job immediately diagnosing the issue. He was able to defrost the freezer, disassemble it, and flush the drain line extensively with hot water and a soap mixture. After everything was reassembled, he even noticed my fridge was unlevel due to some bent wheels on the front. We re-leveled it with a few cardboard coasters and now the doors swing much more easily/ are better balanced. Thank you, Sean! Will definitely be using STAR again in the future if the need arises.

Moses installed a new ice maker and water valve in our refrigerator. Neither one of us noticed until after he left (after it was dark outside!) that the lights in the freezer section did not work. I contacted Moses and he returned and determined a new switch was needed. He installed the switch today and all is working well. Moses was friendly and professional. It was obvious he emphasizes making the customer happy. He has my recommendation.
